Feel with shift in time

Forgive I did long ago…
Forget I’m not able to do…
Feelings again with shift in time
Fading away with memories like crime…

Eager my heart to let go of pain…
Exhaustive mind says ready again?
Enchanted moments we did share…
Endless dream it was but I did care…

End it has now bitterly…
Each time I wonder achingly…
Engulfing pride from nowhere now…
Entrapped me from you and your broken vow…

Looking back I see I should have known…
Losing trust now I doubt was it your hormone…
Left with doubts and feelings unkind…
Lots of questions still pondering my mind…

yes, forgiving is easy, forgetting that memories arent possible easily. not even with the shift in time! :)

You have done that acrostic thing well in each stanza.

deathly adventure

I thought to myself, what a very unique way of writing an acrostic!

Funny, how pain inspires us to write such wonderful poems. Such a paradox, to say the least.

Our memories make for the shift, or we would live in an eternal present and learn nothing. The looking back is the learning.

How often our mind goes back to "I should have known" and then once you do, it is never ever the same again. Talk about a shift! Nice job1

How powerful! Bitter, sad, I totally understand the when your exhausted mind says "ready again?." Yet there is no resolution. Just like life. Perhaps time will resolve the forgiveness/forgetting.

Jim said...

Your poet writer will never forget. Believe me, I've been there. And for me, I won't forgive either. It was wrong, wrong, wrong.
But time will heal over for the most. In situations like this time is a blessing.
